Afghanistan - Now that the dust is starting to settle on the fake election in Afghanistan, the true extent of the failure of the US lead NATO mission in Afghanistan has been exposed for all to see.Operation Panthers Claw, Oh how the military loves such impressive sounding names for military actions, should be re-named operation withdraw bloody stump. This would demonstrate the true extent of its futility.
During the two months of 'Panthers Claw' the British military has lost 37 men killed and an estimated 200 wounded in Helmand province so that the 80,000 Afghans who live along the Helmand river would feel secure enough in the protection provided by the British forces against reprisals from the Taliban could vote in an obviously rigged election so that NATO can pretend that Afghanistan is not occupied.
Well the Afghans voted with their fingers. Only 150 out of the 80,000 voted. The Taliban has already released video of its men amputating the fingers of any Afghans who they caught with the tell tale election ink on them.
Which ever way you add things up, that is 4 votes for every dead British soldier and 1 and 1/3 of a British Soldier wounded for every vote. That is a humiliating defeat for the Military. A military miscalculation of the scale of the first day of the battle of the Somme.
If only 150 out of the 80,000 are for you then 79,850 are against you. Yes that does mean that 79,850 Afghans by not voting for the NATO approved puppets, voted for the Taliban.
It is time to pull out of this futile war of US imperialism, and leave the Yankees to it. It is their war of choice, and it was lost because GW Bush wanted another war in Iraq. No amount of NATO involvement will turn the situation round.
The Politicians, especially 'Wanker' Brown and Bob Ainsworth, are in total denial about this mess of their own making, and as far as the rest of us are concerned they are dead men walking, until the election puts them out of their misery.
